The chemical name of acrylic board is polymethylmethacrylate. It is an important optical plastic with good comprehensive and optical properties. Its transparency is comparable to that of optical glass. It can hardly absorb the full band light of visible light. Its transmittance is more than 91%. It has good luster, light and strong toughness, good molding processability, good chemical and weather resistance. It can be used as optical lens and industrial lens.

PC board has high impact toughness (the first of thermoplastics), high heat resistance, cold resistance, bending resistance, tensile strength equivalent to nylon, high elongation and elastic modulus, good dimensional stability, wear resistance equivalent to nylon, corrosion resistance, high transparency, but easy to crack. Commonly used in the production of gears, bearings, colorless transparent PC can be used in the manufacture of aircraft, car windshield. In particular, the endurance board, sunshine board, PC board, PC sunshine board and PC endurance board produced by Juyou meet the relevant standards of national board.

Both of them are transparent plastics. In the case of the same thickness and the same raw material particles, the transmittance of acrylic plate is 2-3% higher than that of PC, which is close to 90%. It is not easy to distinguish by naked eyes. But they are two kinds of materials after all. There are four differences between them

1. Heat resistance, temperature resistance and weather resistance: acrylic board is easy to soften when it reaches 70 degrees, while PC is 120 degrees, so PC is more heat-resistant and widely used for working temperature

2. Impact resistance, smashing resistance and strength index: with the same thickness, the impact resistance of PC is 30-50 times of that of acrylic board. From 6mm, PC thick board is bulletproof material, and 3mm PC board can't be smashed by ordinary adults with a hammer.

3. Flame resistance and fire resistance: PC is a kind of flame retardant material, which belongs to class B flame retardant (ul94-v2 internationally). It is one of the self extinguishing plastics, which is not easy to burn, while acrylic board is not flame retardant.

4. Environmental protection: PC is a kind of environmental protection plastic, but some physical properties of acrylic board can't reach, so some foreign fields have eliminated the application of acrylic board, and domestic will gradually popularize it. Although China is a big country of acrylic board, there are few high value-added acrylic board produced, and they all rely on imports.
